Adjudicator
ROSEANNE HAMMER

Rosanne Hammer is a South Australian pianist and educator with degrees in Music and Education from the University of Adelaide. Her career encompasses a dynamic blend of performance, pedagogy, and leadership within the Australian music community.

Her performance work includes premieres by notable composers such as Elena Kats-Chernin AO, Larry Sitsky AO FAHA (who dedicated a movement of The Golden Dawn Suite to her), and Kristoffer Zegers (Netherlands), leading to an invitation to perform another interpretation of Zegers’ Piano Phasing work in Seattle, USA. Beyond these projects, she has been a regular soloist and collaborator in South Australian concert series, including recurring appearances in the Recitals Australia series.

She is a highly regarded adjudicator, masterclass clinician, and presenter, having delivered masterclasses and presentations for the Australasian Piano Pedagogy Conference, the Musicological Society of Australia, various Eisteddfod societies, and Music Teachers’ Associations, and serving on the Australian jury for the Singapore International Music Competition in 2025.

Rosanne currently serves as a Federal Examiner and sits on the South Australian & Northern Territory Advisory Board for the Australian Music Examinations Board (AMEB). She is President of the Music Teachers’ Association of South Australia and has previously held key roles with Recitals Australia, including Secretary, Scholarships Convener, and Co-Convener of the Yamaha–Recitals Australia Showcase. In 2022, she was awarded the Don Burrows Award by the Australian Heads of Music in Non-Government Schools (AHOMINGS) in recognition of her outstanding contribution to music education.

Her teaching and artistic practice are deeply influenced by her long-standing contact with esteemed pedagogue Eleonora Sivan, who continues to be a mentor and source of inspiration.
